This week as sucked and its just now half way over.

Let’s start by saying that I have had a tooth ache for awhile now.  But I am one of those people who would rather have a hot poker shoved her @$$ than go to the dentist.  Well the pain got bad enough that I knew I needed to go.  So I called and they had an open appointment that day (of course they would).  I knew it was a wisdom tooth, it has been there for a long time and always bothered me.  So after x-rays he tells me it needs to come out… and the tooth in front of it has to go also.  Apparently, the wisdom tooth was putting so much pressue on the other tooth that it caused the tooth to break on the bottom by my gum line.  Needless to say I was not a happy camper, but I took it in my grand as always fashion (I called the husband and wined like a baby).

As of today I am two teeth shorter with a swollen face.  What a grand week.

In the life of a Tween…. March 12, 2008

I was having the most awlful day yesterday, until about 2 o’clock when my cell phone rang and it was my Tween’s english teacher.  Like most parents my first thought was oh great what did she do.  The teacher goes on to say that she called to let me know about an incident that happend that morning (again I am thinking oh great, my kid… means big mouth and doesn’t know when to shut up).  Anyway….

The teacher them apologizes for the incident, yet I am still unaware as to what the incident was.  She finally tells me this story….

We have been the “Bridges to Terabethia” (I am the worse speller), and we finally finished so as a reward we were going to watch the movie.  She borrowed someone elses laptop at the school and got it hooked up to the TV (any one heard of a DVD player).  She pressed the media player on and picture of a naked man and woman pops up.

By this time I am cracking up.  Knowing this teacher like I do I knew that having to call me and tell me this was horrifying for her.

She didn’t know if my Tween had seen it because she got back down quickly but she still thought it right to call all the parents.

Ok.. First off I have to give her a big HUG for having the (dare I say) balls to personally call the parents, especially since some parents will not react very light heartedly about.  But I say accidents happen and crap she probably knows more about it than I do.

I did ask her about it when I got home and she claims that she wasn’t in the room yet but that her friends told her about it.  Her only comment was “Mom thats gross, why would someone put a picture like that on a computer.”

Pat on the back for Moma, I guess I have taught her something after all. ;)

Life with a man who snores March 4, 2008

I got 2 hours of sleep last night.  The husband who is overweight snored so loud last night that my oldest daughter complained this morning.  I finally woke him at 2am and told him to do something about or he would have to go.  We have gone through this before and he just doesn’t seem to understand that his weight affects more than my sleep.  Our sex life suffers, because I find him completely unattactive, and I know I should love regardless and I do.  But all I am asking is that he lose at least 10lbs.  That little amount helps with his snoring so much…..

At least then I wouldn’t be so tired

My new Harley March 3, 2008

So I decided that I wanted a Harley.  Simply because the husband has one and I am tired of riding behind him.  SO I got my happy rear a bike.  This weekend was the first attempt at trying to figure out how to ride it.

Now I rode dirt bikes and 4-wheelers when I was a kid but remember that they had no clutch.  So in all fairness I thought I knew what I was doing.  I didn’t….

The husband decides that the best place for me to learn the church parking lot, not the 5 acres of land that we have, it was too muddy.  Needless to say the first experience was not a good one.  I laid my brand new Harley over twice, luckily it didn’t hurt it.  But it did hurt me.   My left shoulder is very bruised and so is my elbow.  It got my hip too but my arm is the worse.  The husband found it extremly funny and couldn’t even look at me with out laughing.

Day two was different.  This time I made him take it to the land.  It was much better I only laid over once and that was because the toothless uncle had parked his bike in front of mine and I was trying to get around it.  but needless to say I did much better and had a good time.  I am determined to become a good rider.
